How it works
Foundation repair is a big decision, and the rules for contractors change when you cross State Line Avenue. We make it quick to reach a contractor that serves your address.
You call or send a request
Tell us your town, which state you're in, and what you're seeing: cracked brick or drywall, sticking doors, sloping or bouncy floors, gaps at trim, or a home inspection note about the foundation.
We connect you with a local company
Your call or request goes to an independent foundation repair contractor that works in Bowie County and Miller County.
The company handles the job
They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.
What we are and aren't
Texarkana Foundation Repair is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
The two states handle this differently. Texas has no state license for general contractors or foundation repair companies; the Texas Residential Construction Commission was abolished in 2009. Inside Texarkana, Texas, the city's Inspections and Code Enforcement office (220 Texas Blvd.) issues building permits and says hired residential work must be done by a contractor registered with the city. In Arkansas, a home improvement contractor working on an existing single-family home must be licensed through the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board unless the whole job costs $2,000 or less, and splitting a job into smaller contracts doesn't get around that. On either side, ask for proof of insurance, a written plan showing the number, type and location of piers, and the warranty in writing, including whether it transfers to a buyer. For a large or disputed repair, consider an independent licensed professional engineer, who can be verified with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors or the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.
